| Get Reacquainted Night - at the Cafeteria at the old High School was well attended, with lots of old pics and great food - some terriffic children came to gaze at Mom's & Dad's contemporaries...Among those attending, Wayne & Sherry, Chuck & Diane, Barbara S., Danny and Sandra, Bubby, Carla, Jeanine, Judy, Mary, S.,Dwight R.,Lamar, Kathy, Gay S., Gay B., Mike E., Grey R., Frances B., Keith C., Tommy H., Donnie B., Becky P. and Becky C., Sandi W., Sissy F., Beth B., Lynn M., Marcia W., and others I can't remember at the moment. Being in the old cafeteria brought back memories of the Backwards Dance, serving meals to the football players (as a cheerleader we were priviliged to have this honor) and lunch lines. We decided that we need to bond with the new high school though, because the old cafeteria has seen better days. Were
the best part of this evening, if there was a best part....everyone had a
blast, as you knew I would, but honestly, Tommy Lee Betterton and company are
just getting better after all these years. We couldn't get enough of them, and
the night was over way too soon for most of us. But the food was great, and
there was plenty of it, thanks to Courtland Inge of 14 South Restaurant. Hors
D'Oevres were out all evening until about 10 when they brought out a great hot
breakfast complete with TWO kinds of grits! It was just what we needed to
refuel for another two hours of dancing, hugging, and sweating! The Legion was
much cooler than the outside air, but many had to go outside to hear themselves
talk and catch up on old friends. Photos were taken on the porch and we will
have them here as soon as possible.
If you weren't there, YOU MISSED IT!

Let us know what your ideas are for ways to keep up with each other "between reunions"...we are working on ideas for a an annual party on the 4th or a yearly cruise, ski trip or other gathering if interest is sufficient.
